Scituate Youth Soccer Association (SYSA) is committed to provide the youth of our community with the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of soccer while developing their physical, social and emotional well being.
The Competitive Committee is chaired by the Competitive Coordinator and has the following specific objectives:
To encourage, promote and improve the competitive skills of SYSA Playing Members and Competitive Coaches and to make every effort to identify all SYSA playing Members and Coaches who would like to be considered for the Competitive Soccer Program.
To instill in all participants at the competitive level the established ideals of SYSA: good sportsmanship, honesty, loyalty and safety
To provide an opportunity for SYSA Playing Members to participate in Soccer Rhode Island Competitive League tournaments, ODP Play as well as Premier Tournaments, and any other competitive play as deemed appropriate by the Competitive Committee.
The Competitive Committee consists of the following members who are appointed by the Competitive Coordinator and approved by the SYSA Board:
Spring Coordinator
Girls Coordinator
Boys Coordinator
Fall/Indoor Coordinator
Tournament Coordinator
Secretary
Three At-Large members and/or consultants
The Competitive Committee meets once a month, usually on a weeknight of the week preceding the SYSA Board Meeting. All SYSA Members are invited to attend these meetings which will be listed on the SYSA Calendar.
