PLAYER’S CODE OF CONDUCT
Soccer is a Great Team Sport and every player should enjoyâ€‹ it. Enjoy the game and always follow the SYSA Code of Conduct.
Win with humility, lose with grace and strive to do both with dignity
Play by the rules. Never argue with the officials’ decisions.
Cooperate with your coach and teammates. Be a team player.
Learn from your mistakes. Work hard in practice to improve technique and decision-making.
Live up to the highest standard of sportsmanship:
Be generous when your team wins
Be graceful when you lose
Obey the rules of the game
Accept the decisions of the officials gracefully
Believe in the honesty of your opponents
Avoid making intimidating, taunting, nasty or derogatory remarks about or to your opponents.
Wish your opponents good luck before the game and congratulate them in a sincere manner after the game whether you win or lose
Play soccer for the enjoyment of the game. Do not play just to please other people or to win. Winning is just part of learning the game.
